Expectations for a Safe and Fun Halloween

Tomorrow is October 31st, and therefore, Halloween is upon us! While we want students to have fun, we also want students to be safe. I want to share some expectations the district and the CR campus administrators have outlined for students regarding costumes and behavior. These expectations are for campus tomorrow and also for the football game at Kelly Reeves Stadium tomorrow night.

  • Costumes must be dress code appropriate;
  • No props are allowed;
  • No masks or anything that covers the face is allowed;
  • If using face paint, the student must still be recognizable.
We are also asking students not to bring anything that creates a mess, such as silly string, poppers, confetti, or colored powder/flour. So bring your Raider spirit, but not things that make a mess!

The district has informed us that there will be extra officers at the game to ensure the district expectations are followed. Students who are in costumes that do not fit the above expectations will not be allowed to enter the stadium.

I want everyone to enjoy themselves, but it is important to be aware of the expectations before-hand. Yesterday, all students were sent an email via their school gmail account informing them of our expectations. We also made an announcement today during school.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Have a great Halloween!
