Eng I and Eng II EOC Exams This Week & Parking, Drop Off, and Pick Up Reminders

This week is End of Course testing for English I and English II students. All students should report to their classroom or assigned testing location by 9:05 am.

Testing classroom assignments will be posted in the hallway leading to the cafeteria and in the cafeteria. Room changes for students who are not testing will also be posted.

Eng I and Eng II EOC - Important Information for Students and Parents -

Tuesday, March 29th - Students enrolled in English I will take their Eng I EOC Exam, as well as those who are needing to retake the test. Students who are retesting will have already been notified they are required to take the test again.

Thursday, March 31st - Students enrolled in English II will take their Eng II EOC Exam, as well as those who are needing to retake the test. Students who are retesting will have already been notified they are required to take the test again.

Parents, we ask that you ensure your student is in attendance for these End of Course exams, as well as EOC exams coming up in May. Please do not plan on taking your child out early for appointments on the day they are testing. The Eng I and Eng II EOC tests are both 5 hour long tests, so with lunch and breaks, students will not be finished until close to 4 pm.

Please read below for important information regarding lunches for students taking either the English I and/or English II End of Course Tests later this month.

Cedar Ridge students taking either the English I and/or English II EOC will eat lunch in their assigned testing areas (rather than the cafeteria) on the date of their English EOC exam. Allowing the students to eat lunch in their assigned testing area will allow us to provide them lunch earlier than we normally are able to on testing days and will maintain the required secure testing environment. The Eng I and Eng II EOC exams are each 5 hours long so students will have an assigned lunch break during their exam in their testing area and then resume testing with minimal disruption to the testing environment. Students may bring their own lunch or they will be escorted to the cafeteria to purchase a lunch and then escorted back to their testing room to eat.

Thanks to Round Rock ISD Food Services, all high school students can eat breakfast for free in the cafeteria on Tuesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 31st.

Students who are not taking the Eng I or II EOC Exam will follow their normal schedule. The only disruption to them, may be having a classroom change due if their regular classroom is being used as a testing room. Those changes will be posted throughout the school and teachers will also have the list of changes to share with students.

Parking, Drop Off, and Pick Up Reminder for Parents and Students- Student drop off and pick up occurs in the front of our building. Bus drop off and pick up occurs in the back of our building. Please be respectful of our staff members and do not drop off or pick up in our staff parking area. We have had reports of many "near misses" of staff members almost being hit by cars waiting to drop off or pick up students.  You should also not be dropping off or picking up students in the student parking lot. That creates extra congestion and more possibilities of accidents happening, especially considering most of the drivers in the student parking lot are not very experienced drivers. I understand it is inconvenient to have to wait in the front, but that is the designated area. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
