Cedar Ridge Students Touring Elementary School #34 Building Site and PTSA Brings CRASH!

Thirty two students from the Construction Technology program and their teacher, Mr. Neil Little, visited the site of Elementary School #34, under construction in Wells Branch. Scott German, Sr., the Project Manger for Balfour Betty, led the kids on a tour of the site. The students were able to witness the process of how the concrete walls are formed and raised to enclose the structure. The same group of students will be returning in March and May to witness different phases of the construction of the school. The following day, our Architecture teacher, Mr. Foster and his students were treated to the tour at the same site. We appreciate the district allowing our students to get a first hand view of a construction site in progress.

I have an important message from our PTSA President, Ms. Pearce:

Join the Cedar Ridge PTSA for Crash!

Thursday, February 11 at 6:00, please join us for an informative presentation on driving safely. This class will cover the dangers of DWI, texting while driving, driving while tired, and more. The class will begin with a video presentation of families dealing with the consequences of these actions. It will also cover the graduated license program. This class is for students and parents.

In addition to the class we will have a short PTSA meeting, FREE PIZZA, door prizes and more. One of our door prizes will be a parking spot for next year.

Please let us know if you will be able to attend by going to the link below.RSVP for Crash with the Cedar Ridge PTSA

As a reminder to be eligible for PTSA scholarships you must attend at least one event/PTSA meeting a year. This is a perfect opportunity for you to check that off your to do list.
