Our Computer Science teacher, Joy Windell, shared a recent assignment to post.:
"Cedar Ridge Computer Science students have been working hard the last couple of weeks writing code in java to create a graphics applet. The theme was "What the Christmas Season Means to Me." Students displayed their creativity, as well as their coding skills to create some wonderful images. Here is a slideshow of their work."

Lot's of Great Things Going on at the Ridge!

CR UIL Academic Winners!:

Recently, CR UIL Academics participated in the PHS-Pfall Pfling. Cedar Ridge had students who competed in Calculator, Number Sense, Mathematics, Spelling, Literary Criticism, Science, Ready Writing, and Computer Science.

Angela Cao won 6th place overall in Calculator. Lori Darr won 1st place in Ready Writing. David Bradley, Kai Fleischman, and Matthew Pabst won 3rd place as a team for Computer Science. We are so proud of our students! Congratulations on your outstanding success!

German Club Cultural Event:

German Club held their St Nikolaus party yesterday. Students dressed up as Krampus, St Nikolaus, and Knecht Ruprecht. Other students then read a poem to St Nik, jumped over his staff, and avoided Krampus and Knecht Ruprecht so they could get their goodies. They also ate traditional German candies and baked goods! Looks like they had great fun!

Final Exams:

It doesn't seem possible, but Fall Semester final exams are upon us! The final exam schedule can be found here

Congratulations, Karen Searles!:

Our own dance teacher, Ms. Karen Searles, has been chosen 2017 Dance Educator of the Year by the Texas Dance Educators Association! We are so proud of her innovation, creativity, and dedication to her students! You can read the official press release here.

The Winter Holiday:

Students will begin their Winter Holiday at 4:10 pm next Thursday, December 15th and they will return on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

We hope all of you have a wonderful and safe holiday season!
